Feng Shui Writing

So I've been thinking about the principles of Feng Shui as applied to writing, poetry in particular. I like the idea of thinking about poems spatially. Years ago I had a dream about one of my favorite poets -- she and I were talking about a poem, and it was in front of us like a sculpture -- in 3D. (The weirdest thing about that was that an image similar to that showed up in one of her poems years later - I've never been in touch with her).

Anyway, thinking about poems spatially, or thinking about how "Chi" or energy flows through a poem, or even going more literal in terms of describing a particular space created specifically with Feng Shui in mind, could all be directions in which this idea could move.

Anyone out there have some thoughts? I'll write more as the ideas develop.

TomTom antics

Snapped a few pics of TomTom this morning while I was listing items on Etsy. He loves crawling into bags and boxes, as most cats do. Of course he's MY cat so it's extra cute (right). In the second and third pics he has hopped up onto my "workstation", on a shelf about six feet up, and plopped himself down next to the DoDo bird that my friend Donna made (a bandana challenge for our art group).

Updated Project Blythe Blog

See what I'm up to: Project Blythe.

And if you have any suggestions for a name for this doll (other than "Blythe," that is), leave a comment, I'm open to suggestions.

Countdown! 2 weeks until Project Runway 5!

I am so thrilled that a new season of Project Runway is starting so soon after the last one. We had to wait an awfully long time for season 4.
"Chocolate and Mint Swirl" available on Etsy.

As I wrote in an earlier post, I am doing something really fun for this season - I am going to take the challenges on and make clothes for my Blythe doll. (Really, I AM a serious artist, this is just too fun to stop.)
I will chronicle the challenges on a new blog: Project Blythe. I invite all Blythe doll enthusiasts/Project Runway fans to join me!
